Egypt’s Covid-19 Entry Requirements

Egypt’s lifted COVID-19 entry restrictions

All travelers going to Egypt:

Passengers from all countries will be required to complete a paper health declaration (issued by your airline or on arrival) with personal details and may need to provide confirmation of a valid health insurance policy to airport authorities.

Previously, tourists needed a valid certificate of vaccination or a negative PCR or rapid antigen tests to be taken no more than 72 hours before arrival.

Lots of countries around the world have lifted the COVID-19 restrictions and recently The Egyptian authorities have lifted COVID-19 restrictions to Enter Egypt and travelers now are NOT required to bring neither PCR test nor Vaccinnation certificate!

The rules for vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers to Egypt are now the same because Egypt lifted the entry restrictions on June 17th, 2022.

There are NO specific COVID-19 vaccination rules for children.

There are no quarantine requirements & Tourists can visit Egypt without having to self-isolate, even if they are not fully vaccinated that’s no problem

Beside lifting Egypt’s COVID-19 entry restrictions, other measures in Egypt have been applied:

Restaurants, cafés, and tourist sites are now operating & working normally

Since the world is in a dynamic change, travelers must check the latest rules and conditions before arranging their trip to Egypt.

Egypt Visa:

It’s always best to check with your local Egyptian embassy or consulate before travel but most visitors currently require a tourist visa ($US25 for 30-day single entry) in order to enter Egypt. These can be obtained prior to travel via the e-visa portal (currently for citizens of 46 countries only) or you can obtain it at the arrival at Cairo airport and we are pretty sure that the following nationalities will be able to obtain it at the arrival or online very easily:

USA, All European countries, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, UK, Australia.

Note that your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival.
